  • Tune queries to ensure low-latency responses and maximum efficiency.

5. Delta Lake and Data Warehousing

  • Implement Delta Lake solutions for reliable data lakes.
  • Build data warehouses and marts to support BI, reporting, and analytics.
  • Maintain pipelines to ingest, process, and store high-quality data.

6. Distributed Databases and Cloud Warehouses

  • Work with platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Design and optimize schema structures for scale and performance.

7. Database Design and Development

  • Architect efficient and scalable databases across Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement models and schemas that ensure data integrity and fast retrieval.
  • Create and optimize queries, stored procedures, and functions for mission-critical workloads.

8. Performance Tuning and Optimization

  • Monitor databases with diagnostic tools to detect bottlenecks.
  • Optimize workflows, queries, and pipelines for improved throughput and reduced latency.

9. Data Management and Security

  • Implement archival mechanisms and retention policies for storage optimization.
  • Ensure compliance by enforcing access controls, encryption, and backup/recovery strategies.

10. Automation and CI/CD

  • Automate workflows and deployments using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
  • Implement continuous integration and delivery for data pipelines and applications.

11. Data Lakes and Data Marts

  • Build data lakes on Hadoop, Amazon S3, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Create data marts tailored for analytics and reporting teams.

12. Data Analysis and Modeling

  • Apply data modeling and visualization to derive actionable insights.
  • Partner with data scientists and analysts to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.

13. Exploration of New Tools

  • Evaluate emerging open-source technologies and build proof-of-concepts (POCs).
  • Stay ahead of industry innovations to continuously improve data engineering practices.

14. Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, configurations, and technical specifications.
